The Mitsui Public Relations Committee recognizes the innovative spirit in traditional culture found in the activities of those who are earnestly working to create products that connect to the future while inheriting Japanese traditions, and further developing these traditions. In 2016, they established the "Mitsui Golden Craftsman Award" to support efforts to pass on Japanese traditions to the next generation.
