The "National Traditional Crafts Exhibition" annually solicits and judges entries for craft works that incorporate new ideas and ingenuity that are sought after and loved in modern life, while retaining the reliable techniques that have been passed down through generations of crafts from all over Japan, including traditional crafts designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry. Outstanding works are awarded prizes, including the Prime Minister's Award. This exhibition provides an opportunity for everyone to carefully view these traditional crafts, so please enjoy encountering crafts that add color to modern life. We look forward to your visit!
