The "Traditional Crafts Open Call Exhibition" is a consolidation of the "Japan Traditional Craftsmen's Association Exhibition" and the "National Traditional Crafts Open Call Exhibition," both of which were held until fiscal year 2024. This competition showcases craft works that incorporate ideas required for modern lifestyles into the techniques and methods of "traditional crafts" designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry. Outstanding works are awarded prestigious prizes, including the "Prime Minister's Award."
Please take your time to appreciate the beauty of Japanese craftsmanship and the possibilities of manufacturing, which are the pride of Japan. We look forward to your visit.
