HIKONE Butsudan (Household Buddhist Altars) 50th Anniversary of Designation as a Traditional Craft - Exhibition "Innovative Craftsmanship Continuing from Armor"

This year marks the 50th anniversary since "HIKONE Butsudan (Household Buddhist Altars)" were designated as a traditional craft in 1975.
In addition to Buddhist altars and suits of armor, this exhibition will also introduce new products that are relevant to modern life.
In addition, there will be daily demonstrations by specialist craftsmen in various fields, such as "sculpture, lacquer painting, gold leaf application, maki-e (gold lacquer) and palace construction."
This special exhibition allows you to fully experience the charm of HIKONE Butsudan (Household Buddhist Altars), which embody the pinnacle of traditional craftsmanship.
