KISHU Shikki (Lacquerware)
8/7 (Fri) ~ 8/10 (Mon), 8/19 (Wed) ~ 8/20 (Thu)


■ Create your own original maki-e (lacquer painting) experience on a tray (Φ18cm)
The picture is painted using a substitute paint for lacquer, and then colored powder is sprinkled on to complete it.

Instructor: Kumiko Tanioka
Experience fee: 2,750 yen. Limited to 4 participants.
Estimated time: approximately 30-60 minutes
Children are welcome if accompanied by a guardian.
Start times: ① 11:10 ② 12:30 ③ 14:00 ④ 15:30 ⑤ 17:00

KYO Kanoko Shibori (Tie-dyeing)

■ Mini cotton bag or gauze handkerchief tie-dyeing experience
Tie-dyeing → Dyeing → Washing → Undoing → Take home

■Advanced course: Higosashi weaving experience (Reservation required)
Yari-mori-ki (a type of wooden container) / An experience where you weave the base and insert the bamboo strips into the frame to assemble it.)

Target age Children aged 10 and over are welcome, provided they are accompanied by a guardian.

KOSHU Tebori Insho (Hand-carved Seals)

■15mm square single character: Seal carving (tenkoku) experience
A craftsman will inscribe your desired single character in seal script and then engrave it. Finally, the craftsman will make any necessary adjustments.

Duration: Approximately 30-40 minutes. Suitable for ages 8 and up.
Capacity: 2 people per session

*Takeaway is not available.
After being cast at the production site, the items will be shipped directly to you around the end of September.
